Rectory Deed - July 11, 1912
Patrick J. Sloan to St. Mary's Church, Jamesvile
TRANSCRIPT: THIS INDENTURE, made the 11th day if July, in the year one thousand nine hundred and twelve, between Patrick J. Sloan, of Jamesville, New York, unmarried, party of the first part, and Saint Mary’s Church, of Jamesville, New York, party of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar, and other good and valuable consideration ($1.00), to him duly paid, has sold, and by these presents, does grant and convey to the said party of the second part, its heirs and assigns, or successors, ALL that tract or parcel of land, situate in the town of Dewitt, county of Onondaga, and State of New York, and being part of lot 92, said town of Dewitt, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a cedar post, set in the lands of Charles P. DeLong, on the Seneca turnpike (so called) running thence westerly along said turnpike one hundred and ninety five (195) feet to the lands formerly owned by Robert Dunlap; thence northerly along said Dunlap’s east line, two hundred and fifty one and one half (251 ½) feet to the lands owned by Dennis Bowes; thence easterly along said Bowes’ said north line, one hundred and ninety six (196) feet to lands now owned by Charles P. Delong; thence southerly on the line of said Delong’s Village lot, two hundred and forty three (243) feet to the place of beginning, containing one and one one hundredth and nine one thousandths of an acre of land, more or less. Excepting and reserving therefrom, all that tract or parcel of land, heretofore deeded by Severance Berchmeyer, and wife, to Patrick C. Norris, by deed, dated March 4th 1910, and recorded in Onondaga County Clerk’s Office, March 7th, 1910 in book of Deeds 395, at page 246 etc., and also another piece or parcel of land, deeded by the party of the first part, to Nicholas McConnel, by deed, dated April 12th, 1912, and recorded in Onondaga County Clerk’s Office. With the appurtenances, and all the estate, title, and interest therein of the said party of the first part. And the said Patrick J. Sloan, party of the first part, does hereby covenant and agree, to and with the said party of the second part, its successors, heirs and assigns, that the premises thus conveyed in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, its successors, heirs and assigns, he will forever warrant and defend, against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming the same, or any part thereof. In witness Whereof, the said party of the first part, has hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year first above written Patrick J. On this 11th day of July, in the year one thousand nine hundred and twelve, before me, the subscriber, personally appeared Patrick J. Sloan, to me personally known to be the same person described in and who executed the foregoing instrument, and he duly acknowledged to me that he executed the same. Morse E.
